Looking to save money, get fitter, or just try a new way to get around Bristol? Working in partnership with TravelWest, we have a range of free travel offers to help you explore greener, healthier travel options.
- Borrow a bike, including folding or electric bikes, for up to four weeks
- Join in cycle training or take part in guided cycle rides in Bristol
- Bring your bike into a workshop for a safety check or one of our mechanics can come to you at home or work
- Try out your local bus routes with bus taster tickets
- Try out the train with taster tickets
- Get discounted membership and credit to use Car Club vehicles around the city
- Try the Portway or Brislington Park & Ride

Become an active travel champion
Champions support colleagues with knowledge, advice and coordinating events. Each Champion receives an emergency cycle repair kit for their workplace, so staff can carry out minor repairs such as fixing a puncture and borrow a lock or pump.
Do you love to ride?
Set up a team at your work and inspire your team mates to cycle more. You can set goals, attend online courses, take part in cycling challenges, compete against other workplaces, and win fantastic prizes.
Dr Bike – bike repairs
Dr Bike is an experienced mechanic who will come to your work site to check over employees’ bikes, making simple repairs and adjustments to make sure they are in good working order.
Bike maintenance training
A mechanic will come to you and teach staff how to maintain their own bikes.
Electric pool bikes
Like pool cars, electric pool bikes are for work trips, including travelling to meetings, client visits and making deliveries. You can trial a bike free for three to six months. At the end of the loan, you can apply for a 50 per cent match funded grant to purchase an electric bike.
Match funded grants
You can apply for a 50 per cent match funded grant to support sustainable travel measures, such as cycle parking and shelters, electric cargo bikes, business electric pool bikes, accessibility improvements and more.
Fully funded small grants
We can fully fund initiatives that cost less than £250. This could include a small cycle parking schemes or running an active travel breakfast.

Is your community group interested in enabling more walking and wheeling in your neighbourhood?
Grants
For community groups based in Bristol, we offer sustainable travel grants from £250 to £10,000.
This could be for projects such as cycle storage or programmes to encourage more active travel.
Transport corridor
A transport corridor is a route, usually linear, for the efficient movement of goods and people between two or more locations.
These corridors often include multiple modes of transport, such as cars, buses, Park & Ride services, and trains.
They are strategically developed to support economic activity, trade, and regional connectivity.
