Description of work and disruption
We are working to upgrade the B6 and B8 bus stop on Bond Street.
Work includes:
- Installing a large, modern bus shelter with a living roof
- Moving a streetlight and installing a new one to improve visibility and safety
- Improving the pavement and waiting area
- Building a concrete bus pad to strengthen the road
The B6 and B8 bus stop will be temporarily closed throughout these works.
The bus services 41 and 43 will temporarily stop at the metrobus stop (S2) approximately 50m from the closed stop.
All other bus services that drop off at the stop on their way to The Centre will use the S4 bus stop, next to Fabric Land.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists
Access for pedestrians and cyclists is being maintained.
Access for motor vehicles
Access for motor vehicles is unaffected.
