Description of work and disruption

Please note: This post was updated on 9 December 2025.

As part of the project to improve routes on Temple Way for walking, wheeling, cycling and public transport, we are carrying out work in early December that will impact road users.

Work is taking place at Temple Way’s junction with Broad Plain to install the contractor’s works units.

The work had been programmed to be carried out between 1 and 5 December, but an electrical fault has meant we have needed to extend it to Saturday 13 December.

This means Temple Way’s junction with Broad Plain will remain closed to all motor vehicles until Saturday 13 December. However, we will reopen the junction sooner if we can.

A signposted diversion is in place.
